But What
About Me?

More About Me:
I am a queer artist currently based in New York City! I recently graduated with my BA in Theatre Arts from Illinois Wesleyan University. There, I took a vast interest in the theatrical world and explore all things on stage and behind it. This means that beyond my main desire to perform, I dabbled in light design, sound design, directing, producing, screenwriting, playwriting, and stage management.
Growing up in Southern Maryland, I was always involved in theatre throughout school. It was one of the only things that made me happy beyond school itself. Because of this I decided to take a big ole step away from the East Coast and see what the Midwest was about for college Being there, I did not have much free time, but in those off chances you didn't find me in classes, you could have seen me enjoying a great book, coloring for fun, taking polaroids with friends, or binge watching my latest television show. My time in college taught me a lot. It is okay to ask for help to the fact that people just really are not meant to digest gluten and dairy (myself especially). More importantly though, I have found how important to me family, friends, and community are. As a queer artist, in times such as what the world is facing, clinging to your support system and the things that bring you joy is hugely important, now more than ever. This is why I do theatre. It not only brings me joy, but it brings others joy. It allows people to escape the reality of their life and live through the lens of a character's life. And while often times this teaches them a lesson worth learning, it makes it more impactful and creative igniting parts of their brain that can lay dormant otherwise. I am interested in educating the world through an escape of an artistic medium that can bring both tears and smiles to people's lives. I want to change perspectives and make people aware of things greater than themselves.
